This design is also featured in many publications including FineHomebuilding, Remodeling Magazine and Sarah Susanka's book, The Not So Big House. The project was also featured in the book, Additions: Design Ideas for Great American Homes. Photo at Top: The dramatic new front with tall glass windows overlooking a creek beyond. Photo Lower Left: It's hard to believe a small addition over the front of this home could completely transform the dumpy salt box into a dramatic prairie school gem. Photo Lower Center: The dramatic master bedroom suite has a tall ceiling and transom windows overlooking a nearby creek. Quarter sawn white oak cabinets and fireplace surround (at left) are recessed within a large arched nook. The built-ins provide a focal point and storage as does the wall to wall window seat. Traditional "Prairie School" base, casing and picture rail were added through out existing and new spaces. Photo Lower Right: This project, among others designed by Todd Remington, is also featured on Hometime, the Television Show. Named "A Prairie Home Remodel", the Hometime website has highlights of this project's construction and before/after floor plans. The series featuring this project remains one of Hometime's most requested programs. View Todd Remington Designs for Hometime Photos
