A Victorian Seamless Addition

This Victorian home surprisingly had not been remodeled when it was sold to Todd Remington's client. Unfortunately, the original home was barely habitable and seriously outdated for contemporary family life.

Photo at Top: Todd's award winning solution inlcuded the design of a seamless addition providing the much needed additional space for kitchen and family room on the main floor with master suite above. The lower level was used for a two car tuck under garage.

Photo Lower Left: A new kitchen was designed to be compatible with the original Victorian home. An eating nook was placed in the new bay window adjacent to the kitchen and overlooking the back yard. At left the kitchen opens to a large family room. All trim was reproduced from the original trim found in the original home. Cabinets and other new features were designed to be compatible.

Photo Lower Center: The new master bathroom was designed in a Victorian character including a custom cabriolle vanity "table" and carved medicine cabinets. The medicine cabinets feature turnings and stone inlays as were common to the period style, but the actual designs are original Todd Remingtons.

Photo Lower Right: This project won an Heritage Preservation Award.
