Photo at Top: A view of the front and entry to this Prairie School Gem.

Lower Left: This
glass doored book case was actually found in the basement. Todd Remington
restored the item back to it's likely original location in the private
library. The library is a wonderful room for reading and thinking, with
plenty of natural light and a view to an adjacent lake.
Photo
Lower Center: All
original millwork and cabinetry (except the book cases above) was destroyed
when the home was converted into apartments. Todd Remington's task was
not only to convert the structure back to a single family home, but also
to create a new environment compatible with the historic nature of the
home. The adjacent
photo shows Todd's design for the family room fireplace and millwork.
Todd Remington's carved surround was inspired by the building's existing
front entry which was luckily still intact. Although Todd designed furniture
peices for the project, the items shown are Frank Lloyd Wright designs.
Although reproductions in the photo, the owners purchased original Frank
Lloyd Wright stain glass windows and Tiffany lamps which adorn various
rooms in the home. Todd Incorporated the Wright stained glass windows
into dining room built-in cabinets.

Lower Right: Even
the main staircase had to be designed
by Todd. The new quarter sawn white oak staircase wraps around a bench
in the main entry as can be seen in the adjacent photo.
