Bwindi Tourist Center Uganda

The Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is in Southwestern Uganda and home of the mountain gorilla. Todd Remington is designing a tourist center for this important UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Keeping it Local

The Mountain Gorilla Conservation Fund is planning a tourist center within the national park. Todd Remington has been asked to design the tourist center using local materials and construction systems. Todd is currently working with MGCF's Frank Keesling on the design which will include tourists pavillions/meeting rooms, a retail store and gorilla group information displays. This unique structure will serve as the primary starting place for guided trips into the jungle in search of the Mountain Gorilla.

A future expansion of the current veterinary clinic is also being proposed.
